Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1st, 1995 on the streets of Berkeley California) is an actress. Her work as an actress is known for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House 2022.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and film makers, two careers which she has herself taken up. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her debut role. She played Nanni's daughter the following year in Red Wood Pigeon. It was her career that really took off with Close Friends, written and directed Michele Placido. The movie was well-received at the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Argento, her mother and one of Argento's favorite actors, Daria was an orexic teenager searching for the killer of their parents, in Trauma. Asia has collaborated with Dario Argento on three films, Trauma, The Stendhal Syndrome, and the Phantom of the Opera. In the film Condannato a nozze, Asia's absorbent technique of powerful acting was utilized well. In 1993, she starred alongside the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista, in which she performed the role of Arianna an physically handicapped girl. This was an intricate and difficult role that won her the David di Donatello award for the the best actress. She was also prominent roles in the cast international in the film Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. She was a part of Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio with Michel Piccoli in which she was awarded the David di Donatello award and a Grolla of Oro. Asia began her directing career in 1994 and released two short films and an episode from the movie De Generazione. In 1996, she produced a documentary about her father, and AbelAsia which was a documentary about the famous director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her debut feature film in 1999. The film was Scarlet Diva. In this film she also played the main character and wrote the script. The film was released in on May 1, 2000 in Italy as well as around the globe. It won an award in Brooklyn's Williamsburg festival of film.
